Black Page Music is a music and sound production company operated by Robert Oriol. Currently based in Los Angeles, California. Services include original music composition and sound design, music recording and production, editing and mixing.
Robert Oriol has been designing sound and composing original music for theater since 1993. His work has been heard at theaters including The Odyssey Theater, Open Fist, Theatre of Note, 2100 Square Feet, The Powerhouse Theater, Madson Repertory Theater, The Hudson Guild, A Noise within, and Theatre @ Boston Court.
A veteran of the Los Angeles rock scene, Robert has played electric bass and/or guitar for such bands as Defiance, Mrs Beasley and the Acid Freaks, Surfy the Bug, The Windows (prog rock!) Trax (LA metal!) Audiogram (more prog rock!) Goodboy, Rope, Pigeons from Hell, B24III, Nod, Mojo Rib, Blowpop and most recently,
Elevated Five.
After playing electic bass and guitar professionally for more years than he's willing to admit, Robert has been studying classical guitar since November 2008. Currently enrolled in the Classical Guiatar program at PCC under the direction of Stephen Jones, Robert is also studying privately under Sean Peyman Samimi at USC. He currently alternates between two guitars; an 2008 Amalio Burguet Modelo A (spruce) and a 2005 Contreras II C4 (cedar) that he recently purchased in Barcelona, Spain.
